First off, I'm not saying all Admins here are immature, but that there is at least one who is. I think it fair to at least call it to the attention of the other admins. Where I was brought up, people could always discuss things in a civilized manner, even if people were totally opposed to each other (I'm talking about at school... not at home). If I disagreed with Person X, I let him know and explained my reasoning for opposing him. He usually reciprocated. I have never gotten to the degre...

In response the the recent video of the beheading of an American contractor: I found this quote from Senator John McCain: It also shows the stark difference between Americans and these barbarians. We have found instances of mistreatment of prisoners, we are addressing the issue completely. These people have no regard for humanity or common decency, and this is why we have to win in Iraq. And from another Senator: I am also outraged that we have so many humanitarian do gooders righ...

I am sick a 2-3 times a year. The last couple of times I've been sick the symptoms have been the same: runny nose, fever, exhaustion; just a bad cold / flu. But there is a pattern, every single time I get sick, it has occurred directly after a period of time where I was depriving myself of sleep. I was looking over a friend of mine's shoulder today at school, and I noticed this SAT preparation packet thingy. Naturally I was immediately shocked into reality: the SAT's are this Saturday, and I haven't done anything to prepare for them. I did take the pre-SAT, and that was somewhat easy (though my score wasn't too hot), but this time, it really counts. Is there any preparation that I can do at the last minute that will make the test go easier? Any advice on actually taking the test? I...

I would venture to say that after you live with someone for so long you start to get tired of being around them. That certainly seems to be true of my eight (or seven... or nine... I can never remember) year old brother. I have been in the same house if him his entire life, and he drives me insane. Everything he does puts be on edge. His mere presence in my room makes me mad. He has a terrible attitude problem (at least with me) and is overall just annoying. Some examples of why he drives me ...

I feel mildly ashamed about even being here, as I make it a habit of lurking for some period of time before I join any site. Admittedly, I have read a few blogs here, but likely not with the voracious passion of some (of which we will hear nothing of... because of course, they are lurkers). However, I will undoubtedly begin to understand things in time, and hopefully I will have an enjoyable time of it. FAQ What can one expect out of this blog? Not sure, haven't started it yet. ...
